Ilizarov's method, or the method of transosseous osteosynthesis, is a system of multi-faceted rehabilitation of patients with injuries, diseases and acquired at birth defects of the musculoskeletal system. One of the most important features of Ilizarov's apparatus is multidimensionality and universalism. After the formulation of a specific therapeutic task, it is possible to make almost unlimited compilation of variants from the constituent parts of the apparatus. At any stage of treatment, the method allows a closed correction of fragments, which does not prevent the patient from giving a full or partial load to the limb.
